Further cuts to Horizon 2020

MEPs and researchers criticize further cuts to Horizon 2020 proposed by the Council
In its position on next year’s budget approved on 4 September, the Council proposes further cuts to EU research funding programmes. These cuts would amount to €73.2 million in research commitments and €205.2 million in payments. The Parliament must state its official position on the proposal by 29 October. The press release is available here.

EU-EYE calls on EU institutions to safeguard health research funding, which is key to address existing and emerging challenges to public health.
